  Been a member for years and I can say first handed the people are warm and welcoming and the sermons are full of so much to offer spiritually. They have a wonderful community outreach program which has help many families in the community. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good church family.

  This is my home church and I'm very thankful that the Lord has guided me here. I do not affiliate with a denomination but after moving from WA to SC I sought after a church that was teaching God's Word according to the Bible. Pastor Eric is a very enthusiastic pastor and it is clear he is passionate about the Lord. I would recommend this church to anyone who wants to hear His Word, not watered down or catering to what people want to hear to make them feel better about their sin. The only reason I give this church 4 stars is because I wish there were more teachings about walking as Christ walked (1 John 2:6). It is also really hard to get connected within this church. Persistence pays off and now I am more involved within the church and I love it. As the Gospel of John teaches us, "Come and See" for yourself.

  So I was sitting at the church charging my phone because I figured it would be a good safe place for me as God should be well at Old Fort Baptist Church off of Dorchester Road God sent me a dark skinned skinned man who appeared to be a member of the church wearing a green long sleeve shirt with buttons and khaki pants with a brand new looking pickup truck to inform me that I was committing a crime called "Stealing electricity." I was told that I needed to leave because they didn't want people like me around all the time. I'm supposed to feel like I should go to church every Sunday and worship God when he's so hateful? I'm supposed to believe in God? I ended up getting stranded yesterday and close by was the church that my grandmother and her husband ~Pearl Langdale and Sydney Langdale who lived behind Walmart until Sydney passed away and Grandma sold her place and remarried John Connor and became Pearl Connor and now lives in Summerville... Just to verify my connection and attention to this specific Church. I felt like maybe it was meant to be and might possibly bring me a little closer to God and find some faith that someone in this world will truly help me. I left my husband who tried to kill me 3 years ago and developed an addiction after I lost everything but am clean from now but I was trying to be a good wife and be supportive of my husband's addiction at the time. I have struggled a lot mentally already then I recently lost my best friend of 16 years that passed away. Lately sobriety has been though to hold on to but I'm going. Obviously I am lost and have been drifting from my faith here lately then after beginning to feel OK again after taking a breather all that I got out of it was the realization that my current feeling of Church and the Bible being a virus to control a government and take more of its people's money...Thank you for helping me see the world for what it really is...A living nightmare in hell full of "Christians" and horrible people and no hope. My grandma over the years when I've been down and depressed as I suffer from depression and anxiety and making it worse having an abusive childhood and being in an abusive relationship in the past. But Grandma always tells me that when I felt like I was in trouble, lost and I didn't know what to do or I needed guidance or to feel safe to find the closest Church. I was left in a parking lot with my things I had packed to go out of town and never picked up that. I end up stranded and my battery was dead so as I was walking with tears running down my face the place I saw and was drawn to was Old Fort Baptist Church and what Grandma always says hit me so I crossed the street and found a little comfortable spot where I would attract little attention and sat down after I plugged my phone in. I feel like The Church of God and the Bible are nothing but a joke right now as I am sure that this review must not look very good for you and your people to anyone else coming to this page that may be lost and seeking answers. Well my answer was pretty clear!
